Haiti is the most impoverished country in the Western Hemisphere yet one of the most resilient nations in the world. For centuries the people of Haiti have been suffering, if not from colonization and exploitation, but from illiteracy and poverty, which have been taking silently the last breadth of hope of this once beautiful and proud nation.

What do we do? What can we do to change this situation?

H-focus refuses to be a by-stander. At the beginning of 2009, the organization has identified and started working on the five priority projects below:

  1. Potable water in La Hatte
  2. Honey Bees
  3. Orphans of Petit-goave and Child Labor
  4. Research on Business practices and poverty
  5. Construction of a beach resort in Petit-Goave in order to stimulate the economy of the region.
  • Women Empowerment
  • Seminars & Training
H-focus is in search of three (3) volunteers, two (2) agronomists, and one (1) environmental engineer to manage the Environment and Agriculture's project. H-focus will provide guidance on operation and objectives. The main idea is to promote a long term, and self-sustaining agriculture and environmental practices model in Haiti.
On January 2010, H-Focus will initiate its cultural and sporting activities in Haiti. This project is in its initial phase and volunteers and sponsors are needed. Please contact us for more information.
